Up until now...

Up until now... I have limited myself

… I have been a procrastinator...

… I have made unhealthy choices for my physical well-being...

… I have doubted my gifts and talents...

…and it's time to abandon all of that! It's time to BE the empowered woman I was born to be!

The phrase "up until now..." has become one of my favorites, both for myself and in working with my clients. It beautifully encapsulates that turning point away from "undesirable" toward "desired". I must attribute it to a client who used it in a transformation workshop. I immediately embraced it. It creates a perfect jumping-off point for a shift.

Join me as I make this shift real!

Up until now...

But now...

and my state of BEing is…

Step 1: Up until now…

My first step here is to list a few things that I “dislike” on some level in my life. It does not matter why or how I got here, or even whether I believe them to be within my control. It’s best to state them in a personal sense however, starting with “I” or “my”. Perhaps also say a few words about why I dislike this aspect of my life, stating it in the past tense.

The pain of procrastination

Up until now, I have been a procrastinator. As a result, I have felt rushed in finishing up tasks and projects that are important to me.

It is also helpful to, here and now, acknowledge that I am accountable, as in this statement:

Up until now, I have made unhealthy choices for my physical well-being. As a result, I have felt tired.

[Note that I am acknowledging my choices of diet, and lack of physical activity, have all been my choices. No one else has this power over me.]

Also, I’m giving some credit to the true me that’s inside of me, waiting to come out:

Up until now, I have doubted my gifts and talents. As a result, I have held back on my creativity and self-expression.

Step 2: But now …

Often in writing, I avoid the word “but”, because it can take away from the power of everything that precedes the “but”. In this case however, “but” is the perfect word, because my desire is exactly that… to take away the power of what my experience has been up until now. This statement shifts me from the past to the present.

So here we go:

Up until now, I have been a procrastinator. But now, I complete everything in the perfect time, with grace and ease.
Up until now, I have made unhealthy choices for my physical well-being. But now, I crave healthy food and activity, and honor myself by satisfying those cravings.
Up until now, I have doubted my gifts and talents. But now, I accept and appreciate the talents and gifts that are part of me, and find ways to share them.

Oh I am feeling SO much better already!!

Step 3: and my state of BEing is…

I know that, in manifestation, it is important to focus more on desired qualities and feelings, rather than specific “things”. These qualities and feelings become your state of BEing.

So, for the bonus points, I am turning up the amperage on my BEing:

Up until now, I have been a procrastinator. But now, I complete everything in the perfect time, with grace and ease. My time and desired activities are in perfect balance, enabling me to accomplish what I desire, with quality and ease.
Up until now, I have made unhealthy choices for my physical well-being. But now, I crave healthy food and activity, and honor myself by satisfying those cravings. I participate in all of the physical activities I desire. I honor myself with delicious healthy food and energizing engaging activities.
Up until now, I have doubted my gifts and talents. But now, I accept and appreciate the talents and gifts that are part of me, and find ways to share them. I respect and honor my God-given talents. I share these talents as a teacher, and an artist.

[Note that I am not being restrictive here of how I teach, and what “art” I may create.]

Bringing it all home

Now that I’ve identified my State of BEing, I no longer need to hold on to what my experience had been, up until now. Or even my “now”. All I need is my BEing:

This is now my reality... how exciting!!

My time and desired activities are in perfect balance, enabling me to accomplish what I desire, with quality and ease.

I participate in all of the physical activities I desire. I honor myself with delicious healthy food and energizing engaging activities.

I respect and honor my God-given talents. I share these talents as a teacher, and an artist.

Yes, that describes me perfectly!!
